A structured, safety-focused Pre-Pointe curriculum designed to help ballet teachers confidently evaluate readiness and prepare students for pointe work through a clear, progressive training pathway.
This program provides a complete framework for identifying which students are truly ready for pointe work, building the required strength and technical control, and guiding teachers through a consistent, season-based progression toward a safe transition.
Designed for use in both recreational and pre-professional studio settings, this program supports teachers in making informed, confident decisions while maintaining high technical standards and prioritizing dancer safety.

The program also provides clear guidance for situations where a student is not yet ready for pointe work, helping teachers communicate decisions with confidence and consistency.
Seasonal Progression Model
The Pre-Pointe Program is designed to begin at the start of the training season (August/September) and guide students through structured development leading toward pointe readiness assessment and transition in January, when appropriate.
This focused timeline ensures that students are not rushed, and that only those who demonstrate consistent strength, control, and technical readiness progress to pointe work.

Comprehensive student evaluation form for pointe readiness assessment
4 complete Pre-Pointe lesson plans
Structured warm-ups, progressions, and combinations in each class
Foot-focused center work adaptable to any ballet class
Detailed teacher notes and implementation guidance
